MEET JULIANN

Juliann and her husband, Wade, live in downtown Sioux Falls in a house that was built in 1903. Their daughter, Amelia, and Juliann’s mother, Dalene, also live in Queen City. Juliann has been involved in the Sioux Falls community for some time and regularly attends city, county, and state meetings and events.

In addition to her commitment to the community, she also works in an advisory role on business, marketing, accounting, and engineering matters. Her professional career allowed her to explore many fields including education, medicine, water and wastewater, oil and gas, and farming and to work for companies of different sizes.

She has formal degrees in mechanical engineering and economics from Stanford University and an MBA from Columbia University, but believes that the bulk of her learning has come from the school of hard knocks. Spending time with family (and her two cats), art, writing, travel, and “relaxing” at the gym are her favorite pastimes.
